Awards & Achievements

Active Practice - this is an initiative by the Royal College of GPs and Sport England to encourage GP practices to make positive changes in their surgeries to boost staff and patient wellbeing by reducing sedentary behaviour.  An example of some of the things we have introduced to encourage patients and staff to become more active includes: installing covered bike racks, supported the creation of a patient's gardening club by allocating part of our garden to the Patient Participation Group, are a Parkrun Practice, we advertise local walking groups, we provide 'standing desks' for our staff. 


Disability Confident Employer - This Government initiative is designed to encourage employers recruit and retain disabled people and those with health conditions.  


Dementia Friends - The Alzheimer's Society's Dementia Friends programme is the biggest ever initiative to change people's perceptions of dementia.  It aims to transform the way the nation thinks, acts and talks about the condition.

Green Impact for Health - The NHS is responsible for 4-5% of the UK's carbon footprint.
