Temporary IT Issues Affecting Clinical Systems
We are currently experiencing significant IT issues which are affecting access to some of our clinical computer systems.
As a result, our staff may have limited or no access to patient records, appointment systems, and other digital services we rely on to deliver care. This may lead to delays or changes to how some services are provided while the issue is ongoing.
What this means for patients
- Some appointments may take longer than usual
- We may not be able to immediately access medical records, test results, or prescribing systems
- Online services may be temporarily unavailable
- Our teams may need to use manual or alternative processes to ensure care continues safely
Please be assured that patient safety remains our top priority. Our clinicians and administrative staff are working hard to continue providing essential care despite these challenges.
What we are doing
Our IT and system suppliers are actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We are following established business continuity procedures and taking steps to minimise disruption wherever possible.
What we ask from patients
- Please attend any booked appointments unless you are contacted directly by us
- Be patient and understanding if services take longer than normal
- If your query is routine, consider waiting until systems are fully restored before contacting us
- For urgent medical concerns, continue to seek help in the usual way
Urgent care
If you need urgent medical attention and cannot reach us:
- Contact NHS 111 for advice
- In an emergency, call 999
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience or frustration this situation may cause and thank you for your patience while we work to restore normal service.
Further updates will be shared on our website as more information becomes available.
